Quocirca analysts spend a large proportion of their time in discussions - with end users, with movers and shakers and with technology vendors and service providers. This gives Quocirca a breadth and depth of industry knowledge that is unrivalled in the market. This knowledge enables us to take a different viewpoint than many other analysts - we are not interested in technology for technology's sake, but look at how technology impacts a business - whether this be for the good or for the bad. Quocirca's analysts come from a mixed background involving being in the end-user and vendor environments. This provides further depth to our knowledge, enabling us to see problems from many different points of view. Through this, we can often play "devil's advocate" with a vendor's messaging, forcing the vendor to think long and hard about the effectiveness of particular parts of their messaging and strategy.
The breadth of Quocirca's industry knowledge also enables us to provide vendors with a great deal of advice on synergistic technology partnerships and strategic channel partnerships. As we spend a great deal of our time looking at emerging vendors, we are often first to see the promise of emerging technologies - and to see which companies have the best technologies, the best product or the best message. |
