Mr Dennis Szubert Dennis Szubert is a Principal Analyst working with Quocirca, specialising in Server and Storage Platforms & Technical Architectures.
With 19 years of IT sector experience, Dennis' past career includes positions at Logica, Nat West Bank and Data Logic, working on projects for ABN-Amro, IBM, Ford, British Gas and Taylor-Nelson-Sofres among other clients. Most recently Dennis worked for Compass Management Consulting which specialises in data-driven analysis of clients' IT operations, where he kept a keen eye on developments in data centre technologies, including mainframe, distributed servers and storage. Dennis has produced reports, white papers and articles on various data centre technologies and has been published in The Register, IT Director and silicon.com among other outlets. He participates in round tables, presents at vendor and industry events and also provides general comment on enterprise technologies for the IT and business press. Recent projects have covered data centre automation, data management software, SMB storage, blade servers and grid computing. He takes a particular interest in virtualisation in its various flavours as an emerging technology with widespread impact on the enterprise. With a BSc in Physics and a PhD in Experimental Physics from Manchester University, Dennis' education and experience have equipped him with an analytical approach coupled with a business-focus that enables him to see the practical impact of technology products and services on an organisation. |
